Cape Town-born singer/songwriter Craig Lucas fell victim to an armed robbery yesterday in Thornton, Cape Town.
Lucas shared a post on social media recounting how he pleaded for his life after the assailant threatened to shoot him.

He had experienced a flat tyre, and while waiting for assistance, a car with multiple occupants pulled up next to him, which he initially thought was there to help, and proceeded to rob him of his phone before threatening to shoot him.

According to Lucas, his phone was unlocked and the robbers were able to gain access and alter the passwords to his email and Apple ID accounts.
He has warned people to be sceptical of any messages or requests coming from him over the next few days while he tries to regain access to his accounts.
