The South African Weather Service has released a weather advisory for the Western Cape and Namaqualand region.

The public and small-holder farmers are cautioned that a loss of vulnerable livestock and crops is expected due to cold, windy and wet conditions over the weekend. Maximum temperatures are forecast to drop below 10°C in areas over the Cape Winelands, Witzenberg, Central Karoo and interior of the Garden Route in the Western Cape.
Other affected regions include parts across the Karoo Hoogland and the Namakwa district in the Northern Cape.
