A car accident in Riviersonderend on Sunday, October 18 has resulted in major carnage, with several deaths and injuries.

According to the official 1Second CPT-Daily Safety and Security Alerts Facebook page, seven have died and six have been left in critical condition. It is yet unclear what events transpired that lead up to the accident.
