The fire in Du Toit’s Kloof continues to burn out of control, and motorists are advised to travel with caution.
According to the Cape Winelands District Municipality (CWDM), the fire started opposite the Du Kloof Hotel and has continued to burn into the cliffs in the direction of the Huguenot Tunnel.

Although all roads are currently open, fire services are requesting that motorists travel with caution, not to stop and take photographs, and to follow the instructions of the traffic officials.
Seven firefighting vehicles and crew and three ground teams from NCC Environmental Services and CapeNature are on the scene.
