‘This initiative generates such high demand each year. While it is good to see so many people who want to exploit the opportunity, it is important to remember that this offering is going above and beyond,’ said Mayco member for Safety and Security, JP Smith. ‘The City has numerous existing mechanisms in place to finalise traffic fines, and these should always be the first port of call for the motoring public.’
‘Because there is such demand for the roadshow, those wishing to make use of the services should note that queues will be long, and at some point, there will have to be a cut-off. So I urge them to please get in line early to avoid disappointment but to also exercise patience. Also, make sure you have the necessary documentation required, and please do read through the FAQ document that has been made available to familiarise yourself with the process, but also what the roadshow can and cannot do.’
