Have you been considering getting rid of your recyclable material? yes that one that’s been carefully packed away in the corner of your garage while you’re still contemplating what to do about it. Well if that is the case, help is at hand.
My Clean Green Home (MCGH) will happily take this off your hands, all you have to do is visit MCGH which is located in Green Point Urban Park and dump your clean plastic waste in their footprint outside the home.
MCGH which is a pinnacle of Cape Town Future Energy Festival is inviting Capetonians to its exhibition which will give visitors an opportunity to walk around the ‘net zero carbon home’ and to get an idea of what it would be like living in carbon neutral home.
The City’s My Clean Green Home in Green Point Urban Park is open again to visitors. The exhibit gives visitors an opportunity to walk through a net zero carbon home and experience what life could be like to live in such a home. The exhibition is open from 10am to 4pm until 2 May, where people can learn about the latest innovation and tricks they can incorporate in their homes to minimize our carbon footprint by 2050.
MCGH incorporates solar power generation, energy efficient appliances, passive cooling, rainwater harvesting and an edible food garden.
