National Assembly Speaker Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula has directed parliamentary staff to secure a temporary venue for Parliament’s physical sessions.
This directive aligns with the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) party’s advocacy for in-person meetings over hybrid or virtual formats.
Since the fire in January 2022, which severely damaged Parliament’s chambers, there has been an ongoing dilemma regarding suitable locations for parliamentary sittings.
