Pistorius faced conviction for the murder of his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, on Valentine’s Day in 2013. In the subsequent year, he was sentenced to 13 years of incarceration for this tragic incident.
In court, Pistorius recounted hearing a noise in the bathroom during the night and mistaking Steenkamp for an intruder. He opened fire through the door, resulting in her untimely death.
The New York Post recently disclosed that Pistorius reached out to members of the International Paralympic Committee, seeking employment opportunities in any available capacity.
‘He’s too toxic to work with now,’ remarked one of the members to The Post, who also mentioned that there were no available opportunities for him within the organisation.
According to their report, he has been performing light maintenance and janitorial tasks at a church frequented by his uncle.
Upon his release, the Department of Correctional Services announced that Pistorius would be incorporated into the Community Corrections system. They stated that he would be under supervision until the conclusion of his sentence in 2029, with standard parole conditions being applicable.
