A warning has been issued of heavy rain up to 100 mm, affecting the Eastern Cape, while parts of the Western Cape can expect snow from Sunday 18 up until Tuesday 20 September.

A ridging pressure system coupled with a cold front will result in temperatures reaching below 12 degrees wind is expected at 20 to 30 kilometres per hour during wet conditions.
Tuesday will be the coldest morning according to the South Africa Weather Service
The warning has also been issued by Vox Weather. Snow is expected to spread from Roggeveld Mountains in the Karoo to the north-eastern high ground of the Eastern Cape.
The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has advised the public and farmers to keep safe during the windy and very cold conditions approaching.
