The City’s Water and Sanitation Directorate has additional planned water supply maintenance in Gordon’s Bay this week, which will result in water supply disruptions.

The part of Gordon’s Bay bounded by Sir Lowry’s Pass Road, Dennehof Street, Disa Road and the Coastline will have its water supply shut off from 8am to 6pm on both Wednesday, 31 January and Thursday, 1 February.
These two days give the maintenance team the chance to do a tie-in of the newly installed pipe section onto the existing water supply infrastructure and to ensure there are no unknown connections on the old water network.
Residents are requested to store enough water in advance for domestic consumption.
For a short time after the supply has been restored, the water may look discoloured or milky because of trapped air in the pipes. The water is still safe and, if left to stand in a glass, will appear clear.
