There have been reports of protestors marching along Tennant Street in the CBD. This comes in the wake of “national shutdown” demonstrations over fuel price dissatisfaction which are set to take place today, Friday.
Hundreds of residents took to the streets of Durban’s CBD this morning. Thus far, the Western Cape has been ‘business as usual’ but police remain on high alert.
Cape {town} Etc has contacted the SAPS for an update on the protest. Its cause is not yet known, but there have been reports from community members that it’s peaceful.
