This afternoon President Cyril Ramaphosa appeared before parliament, where he was met with questions in regards to the Phala Phala wildlife farm robbery.
This comes after the deadline of political parties to submit their nominations for the independent panel of expects to conduct a preliminary investigation on whether evidence exists that the President violated prosecution or the law.
Two years ago, on 9 February 2020 the President Ramaphosa’s Phala Phala farm was broken into and at-least a large sum of money of $4 million was stolen and hidden in many parts of furniture in the house.
Furthermore the break-in was captured on CCTV footage, to what looks like two men crawling to a window on their knees, and two others waiting by a door as per allegations by former spy boss Arthur Fraser.

“There is a great interest in my answer regarding this matter, I stand ready to cooperate and give an explanation and to cooperate with any investigations, however investigations are ongoing with many agencies such as the Hawks, Public Protector and the section 89 process that is ongoing . I have responded to the various questions that have been raised and I will continue to do so,” says President Cyril Ramaphosa as he responds virtually to the Q&A session in earlier.
The President also gave responses in regards to Gender Based Violence, Xenophobia, Crime but things took a short turn when the Ramaphosa was unable to give answers to the Phala Phala saga.
Political Party, Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) deputy president, Floyd Shivambu said the President is avoiding questions and should account reasons as to why there was money found in his property and what was his involvement.
While Steven Stewart of African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP) said the President continues to give response but failing to answer questions.
Members of Parliament have made a proposition to the President to give response in regards to Phala Phala farm before end of September.
