The City of Cape Town’s Urban Mobility Directorate has begun resurfacing roadworks in the Blouberg area. The roadworks begin today, Monday, 20 November and are set to finish by Friday, 1 December.
The roadworks will be done on weekdays from 7:30am until 5:30pm and on Saturdays from 7:30am to 5pm.
The following roads will be affected:
• Anchor Way (between Sandown Road and Anchor Way)
• Winchester Road (between Sandown Road and Saxon Crescent)
• Cabin Close (between Sandown Road and Cabin Close)

The resurfacing works will include:
• Milling of selected surface patches on Anchor Way
• Reinstating the road markings along these roads
• Resurfacing of Winchester Road and Cabin Close that will include milling of the existing road and replacing of asphalt
‘We would like to thank road users for their patience while these works are under way as this project will improve the road network in their residential area,’ said Rob Quintas, the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Mobility.
‘Road users are requested to use alternative routes if possible and residents can expect a level of noise pollution during this time.’
