The City of Cape Town’s Urban Mobility Directorate has announced the rehabilitation of the unpaved Zonnekus Road and the resurfacing of the intersections with Mamre Road in the Cape Farms district along the West Coast.
This is according to a recent press statement released by the City.

The roadworks commenced earlier this week and will continue until 13 May 2024, from 7:30am to 5pm on Mondays to Saturdays.
Along with the rehabilitation of the Zonnekus gravel road and the resurfacing of the intersections with Mamre Road, concrete and gravel stormwater side drains will also be constructed.
‘The reason behind undertaking this rehabilitation project is that the City would like to maintain the road surface at an acceptable standard as well as improve the stormwater drainage in this area,’ said Councillor Rob Quintas, the City’s mayoral committee member for urban mobility.
‘Residents can expect a level of noise and dust pollution during this time,’ Quintas added.
