Last night between 7pm and 8pm an armed robbery occurred at SuperSpar in Rosmead Avenue, Kenilworth.

The suspects entered the store, carried out their criminal activities, and managed to escape within a mere minute.
The timely response of multiple on-site security guards likely played a crucial role in minimising potential harm.
Police spokesperson Captain Frederick van Wyk said the 30-year-old complainant was on duty with her colleagues when the suspects walked in and bought airtime.
The suspects suddenly threatened the complainant with a firearm and demanded cash from the till. They took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene. No shots were fired and no injuries were sustained.
Staff members present during the robbery are undergoing counselling, as confirmed by a Spar employee.
