More luxury ships will be sailing into the Mother City in April, so keep your eyes peeled on the V&A Cruise Terminal to catch a glimpse of these stunning vessels as they dock.

Here are the luxury cruise liners to look out for.

The Pacific Princess

Locals will be able to catch a glimpse of this royal vessel on April 2 as she docks in Cape Town from East London.

For a decade, the Pacific Princess was the home to the crew of the Love Boat. While this liner has the same name as that famed ship, she’s a new model with beautiful features.

This is one of Princess Cruises’ smaller ships with room for just 680 passengers, which allows for more in-depth itineraries and gives passengers a better chance to try out everything onboard the Pacific Princess.

She will be leaving the Mother City again on April 4 to set off on her journey to Lüderitz.

Queen Victoria

One of the three Cunard Queens will be making their way to Cape Town in April.

The Queen Victoria will dock in the Mother City on April 12 from Port Elizabeth.

With a hefty size of 294m, she has a passenger capacity of 2 061 and is home to 981 crew members.

A special feature is The Royal Court Theatre. It is the only theatre at sea with balcony boxes for guests to enjoy live performances or classic movies.

She will be leaving again the very next day on April 13 for Walvis Bay.

The Silver Whisper

Silverseas cruise liner Silver Whisper will be paying the Mother City a visit on April 16.

Refurbished in 2017, the Silver Whisper has capacity for 388 passengers and 302 crew members.

Among the attractions on the 186m ship are a boutique, spa, library, and a show lounge. She comprises of seven decks and can travel at an average speed of 18.5 knots.

She will leave the city’s port again on April 18.

The Viking Sun 

Viking Ocean Cruises’ Viking Sun will enter the city’s cruise terminal on April 18 from Port Elizabeth.

With a speed capacity of 20 knots and a length of 227m, this liner was built in 2017 and carries up to 930 passengers.

During her trips around the world, guests have been able to enjoy amenities such as two pools, a bar, a spa, a movie theatre, and a Wintergarden which serves tea service and pastries.

She will set off again the very next day for Lüderitz.
