Eskom’s latest power alert says stage 5 loadshedding will be implemented from 4pm this afternoon until 5am on Friday. Thereafter, various stages of loadshedding will be implemented throughout the weekend.

According to the schedule, stage 4 will take over on Friday between 5am and 4pm before stage 5 returns at 4pm and continues until 5am on Saturday. Stage 3 will be implemented at 5am on Saturday until 4pm when stage 4 takes over until 5am on Sunday.
Stage 1 will make a brief appearance on Sunday between 5am and 4pm before returning to stage 4.

City of Cape Town customers can expect to be shielded from some stages throughout the weekend.
Stage 3 continues to be implemented until 10pm this evening. Thereafter, stage 5 will be implemented until 5am on Friday. Stage 3 will take over from 5am on Friday and continue until 10pm when stage 5 returns until 5am on Saturday.
Stage 3 comes into effect from 5am on Saturday until 4pm when stage 4 takes over.
Like Eskom customers, City customers will also see stage 1 being implemented betweeen 5am and 4pm, after which stage 4 returns.
