Stage 6 loadshedding will be implemented from 4pm this afternoon until 5am on Friday, according to Eskom’s latest power alert.
Thereafter, stage 4 loadshedding will be implemented from 5am on Friday until 5am on Saturday.
Another stage drop occurs with stage 2 in effect from 5am to 4pm on Saturday. Thereafter, stage 4 takes over once more until 5am on Sunday.
As previously mentioned, loadshedding will be suspended from 5am until 4pm on Sunday, after which stage 4 will be reimplemented.
Eskom will publish another update if any significant changes occur.
Take a look:
Breakdowns currently stand at 17 863MW of generating capacity while the generating capacity out of service for planned maintenance is 2 437MW.
Over the past 24 hours, a generating unit each at Kendal and Tutuka power stations has been returned to service.
In the same period, a generation unit each at Duvha and Arnot, Hendrina, Lethabo, Majuba, Matimba, Matla, Tutuka and two generating units at Camden power stations continue to add to the current capacity constraints.
Eskom says it intends to return as many of these generating units to service over the next few days.
