Three people have been left displaced after a home fire in Woodstock, Cape Town, on Sunday morning.
The building, The Big Save, is situated on the corners of Victoria and Dublin roads, City of Cape Town Fire and Rescue Services spokesperson Jermaine Carelse confirmed to News24.
It’s believed that the cause of the fire was due to a candle that overturned.
Fire and Rescue Services were alerted at approximately 4:45am and the fire was extinguished at 5:25am.
Crews from Salt River, Roeland Street, Sea Point and Brooklyn, which included four fire engines, a rescue vehicle and 22 firefighters were in attendance.
No injuries were reported.
