Three people were attacked and shot during an armed robbery in their home in the early hours of Saturday [September 26] morning. It is alleged that robbers gained entry to their home at 1am, which is on a farm in the Klipheuwel area near Mikpunt, Durbanville.
Titanium Securitas responded to the call immediately and attended to the scene, together with an ambulance.
According to a post on Titanium Securitas Facebook Page, “On arrival 3 adults were found inside the house that sustained serious gunshot wounds. All three patients were stabilised on scene before being rushed to Hospital for further medical treatment.
“According to one of the victims they were sleeping when they were woken up by at least 4 male persons demanding valuables as well as the safe keys. A scuffle broke out and the perpetrators randomly started shooting at the home owner and his wife. Another male person who was also asleep inside the home tried to assist the home owner and his wife and was also shot in the chest,” they said on their page.
The suspects fled shortly after the shooting and left without stealing anything. In pictures on the Facebook post you can see a pool of blood in the home.
