With tourism month in full swing, marketers and industry stakeholders will be gathering at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) for the 4th annual Tourism Marketing Conference.

Under the theme ‘Tourism: The Future is Bright’, the two-day conference gets underway on Wednesday with Deputy Minister of Tourism Fish Mahlalela, set to address the conference on the latest industry trends, strategies and innovations in tourism marketing.
The conference will also provide a learning opportunity to assist marketers of tourism-related goods, destinations, experiences, and attractions in strengthening their marketing initiatives in order to ultimately draw in more customers and expand the tourism industry.

‘The agenda includes topics such as local tourism marketing, branding, destination marketing, innovation and technology, reputation management, social media and interactive marketing, relationship marketing, sales and lead generation, digital marketing, influencer marketing, referral marketing and more,’ said the event organisers.
In his speech, the deputy minister will provide conference attendees with an outlook and update on global source markets, opportunities, and trends, enabling marketers to coordinate their own marketing initiatives with those of the department of tourism.
All stakeholders in the tourism industry, including DMOs, RTOs, tourism boards, and other related organisations, are welcome to attend the conference, according to the event organisers.
