A German tourist died after a paragliding accident in Langebaan on Wednesday afternoon. The 62-year-old man, whose name has not been released, died after falling onto rocks close to the holiday resort Club Mykonos, according to News24.
“We don’t suspect any foul play at this stage,” the Langebaan police said. “We are still unsure as to exactly what happened, but the matter is being investigated. The person was declared dead on the scene by medical staff.”
Emergency rescue services Globalforce EMS as well as a helicopter from Air Mercy Services were called to the scene. Despite their best efforts, the man could not be revived.
