Three men calmly hijacked a truck driver and the whole thing was captured on a dashcam installed in the vehicle.

Though unconfirmed, it is believed the incident occurred in Langa, Cape Town.
On Wednesday, 10 January, the driver is seen standing still in the video. A man appears at the passenger door around the two-minute mark of the video, which naturally startles the driver.

Two more men appear within a few seconds, one on the driver’s side and the other at the passenger door. They piled into the truck, and the first hijacker motioned for the driver to get out.
SA Trucker posted this strange and frightening interaction to Facebook, and the video has received over 200 000 views as of the time of publication.

If you are confronted by hijackers, you should do the following:
- Do not lose your cool, and do not threaten or challenge the hijacker.
- Do exactly what the hijackers say!
- Do not fight back, especially if the hijacker is armed. Surrender your vehicle and flee. Put as much distance between yourself and the hijacker(s) as possible, as quickly as possible.
- Avoid reaching for your purse or valuables. Leave everything in the vehicle.
- Maintain your calm at all times and avoid showing signs of aggression.
- Comply with all demands made by the perpetrator.
- Make no eye contact with the hijacker. He may interpret this behaviour as a threat and respond aggressively.
- Maintain your hands still and visible to the hijacker to assure him of your passive content.
- If you can, avoid speaking too quickly and making sudden movements.
- Collect as much information as you can without posing a threat.
