As reported by EWN, 39-year-old Christopher Jones was reunited with his family after he was beaten up and bundled into a white Toyota Quantum. His mother, Cathy, says she saw everything happen as the men stormed her home in Chamberlain Street.
‘It was established by the investigating officer that the 39-year-old managed to escape his kidnappers last night and found refuge at the Atlantis Police Station and was later reunited with his family,’ says police spokesperson Malcolm Pojie.
A 20-year-old man, only known as Justin, was also allegedly a victim but later found safe.
‘The 20-year-old was traced and found in hospital after allegedly suffering assault at the hands of the group of alleged kidnappers.’
The suspects remain at large. Pojie says detectives are still working on possible leads.
