Both the Ster-Kinekor and Nu Metro cinemas at the V&A Waterfront are now temporarily closed for renovations without a specific date chosen for reopening.

This comes as the popular shopping destination aims to improve their offering and provide the public with a fresh cinema look and feel.

“The V&A Waterfront’s new cinema will be in production from 6 March 2020. We’ll be back sooner than you think and better than ever before. Visit www.sterkinekor.com to find the latest Cinema Nouveau releases at Ster-Kinekor cinemas around Cape Town,” said the V&A Waterfront via a statement released on their official Facebook page.

While movie-lovers wait for the new and improved cinemas to open at the V&A, other options for getting your film fix include The Labia Theatre where all special screenings usually held at the V&A Waterfront’s Nu Metro cinemas will screen instead.

Watch this space as we will keep you updated on the progress and let you know when the cinemas will reopen.
