Capetonians are a unique bunch of individuals who are willing to see the good in everything, even localised flooding.
Heavy rains have battered the Western Cape which has caused localised flooding in various areas across the city, including Goodwood and Elsies River Industrial.
Battered but not bruised, Capetonians are looking on the bright side of life and every advantage, and who says you can’t enjoy a little swim when it’s raining outside?
In a video shared across social media, one Cape Town resident can be seen enjoying a little dip in a rather unconventional way. As a Golden Arrow bus struggles to make its way through the water, a woman can be seen swimming in the water – full swimming costume and everything!
Check out the hilarious video below:
But wait, there’s more! Two women can be seen enjoying a little paddle in a floating device (a splash pool, perhaps) as they navigate the water with paddles in hand and a papsak in the other. Now that’s one way to explore and enjoy what Cape Town has to offer.
We love it when Capetonians have a little fun!
