With the current lease agreement due to expire at the end of the month, Virgin Active in Green Point, Cape Town, is due to be auctioned off to the highest bidder next week.

The current lease agreement expires on 30 June and the City of Cape Town is inviting bidders to take over the current agreement held by Virgin Active SA.

If it doesn’t sell on Auction day, 29 June 2023, the gym will need to vacate.
The site covers 17 844 square metres, including 4264 square metres of outdoor space and 4300 square metres of under-roof facilities. It also supports roughly 200 parking bays and is available at a lease term of 20 years with an option to renew after 10 years.

The prime location is within walking distance of the V&A Waterfront, Sea Point Promenade and the DHL Stadium.
The City’s property auction will take place on Thursday at noon in Business Lounge G on Level 4 of DHL Stadium (formerly known as Cape Town Stadium) in Fritz Sonnenberg Road, Green Point, Cape Town.
