We may not have as many family meetings as we once did in South Africa, but recent commentary by President Cyril Ramaphosa in a private family meeting, AKA a parliament Q&A, has us seeing a feisty side to Uncle Cyril.
President Ramaphosa has announced his fearlessness in the most South African way possible, by stating that he “fears f*kal”.
The response came after EFF member Julius Malema posed a question to the president asking “what is it that you are so scared about Bheki Cele… so much that you allow our people to die like flies,” in criticising Cele’s dual role the Minister of Police and as a Police Commissioner.
The president responded in a somewhat flustered manner, even confusing Malema for a minister, before standing his ground with creative language.
