The Western Cape has 11 657 active cases of COVID-19 as of 1 pm today, June 14. The total number of confirmed cases for the province is 40 232, and the number of recoveries is 27 527.

Sadly, the Western Cape has recorded an additional 40 deaths, bringing the total number of COVID-19 related deaths in the province to 1 048.

In a statement, Alan Winde said: “We send our condolences to the families and loved ones of the deceased at this time.”

The total number of unallocated cases is 4 302 with 1 852 recoveries.
