This incidents follows hot on the trails of several chain-snatching incidents believed to be perpetrated by street children in the Atlantic Seaboard area.
Speaking on the increased presence of street children in the area, Ward 54 Councillor Nicola Jowell said:
‘I have had and will continue to have engagements with Provincial Social Services about the children in the area and the need to have them off the streets and in places of safety and care. The City’s field workers are also in regular contact and pass on the information about children at risk on the streets here.’
