A brother has been arrested on suspicion of murder after actively helping the community of Bloekombos, Kraaifontein search for his missing sister. Patricia Masego-Kock (29) went missing a week ago, and her body was discovered beneath her brother’s bed on Monday after people noticed a suspicious stench coming from his home.
As reported by the Daily Voice, many were shocked to find that Masego-Kock’s brother had been arrested for her murder. Upon his arrest, the young man also allegedly admitted to drinking her blood.
The suspect was known in the community for his soft-spoken nature and being an avid rapper. He is also a born-again Christian, and many have been calling him “Mr. Devil” since his arrest.
Masego-Kock, who was employed at a Kraaifontein pizzeria, was described by a close relative as a person who was beautiful both inside and out. “We can’t believe the suspect would even murder his own sister and can’t believe she is gone. There is no place for a person like the suspect in our community. We don’t want him here,” they said.
According to South African Police Services (SAPS) spokesperson Sergeant Noloyiso Rwexana, Masego-Kock’s brother will appear in the Blue Downs Magistrate’s Court this week.
