Woolworths has taken immediate action by issuing a recall for its peanut butter dairy ice cream.
The leading retail group issued a notice stating only the peanut butter ice cream is affected by the recall as it contains aflatoxin levels that exceed the legal limit. The product has been removed from shelves.
Customers who have purchased the product may return it to their local store for a full refund.

The updated list of recalled brands:

- Dis-Chem’s Lifestyle 800 grammes Smooth and Crunchy

Woolworths said all of its other products containing peanut butter, including its standalone peanut butter range, is deemed safe for consumption without any concerns.
