As per National Geographic, bioluminescence is a natural light emitted by living organisms that often lights up the shores in a neon blue hue.
Dinoflagellates, a class of microscopic organisms, are primarily responsible for this biological marvel. When disturbed by waves or movement, these organisms emit light, creating a magical glow in the water.
This phenomenon is not just beautiful but serves a purpose in nature, aiding in predator avoidance and mating.
The occurrence of bioluminescence is more common than one might think, yet its unpredictability makes each sighting special.
