In a bustling city like Cape Town, finding meaningful connections and a sense of belonging can be a challenge. However, one woman, Stacey, has taken the initiative to create a community where women from diverse backgrounds can come together, explore the outdoors and forge genuine friendships. MySoulSistas is more than just a brand; it’s a passion project that aims to empower women, inspire joy, and foster a sense of adventure while ensuring safety in numbers.

Stacey’s path to MySoulSistas was born out of a period of burnout, chronic fatigue and a longing for joy in her own life.
‘I suffered from chronic stress, and I forgot what joy meant for me. I needed to spark joy in my life again and redefine what truly matters,’ Stacey reflected.
Through introspection and the guidance of a life coach, Stacey realised her passion for nature and the outdoors and felt compelled to connect with like-minded individuals who shared her aspirations.
MySoulSistas started as a passion project, a simple Instagram page to share Stacey’s vision of meaningful connections and shared experiences.
However, it quickly gained traction and organically attracted women who, like Stacey, felt isolated and longed for genuine friendships.

‘I had no intention of it growing further than a little vision, but I’ve just been growing along with it,’ she shared.
One of the core principles of MySoulSistas is to create a safe space where women can openly discuss their struggles and feel empowered through connection.
Stacey emphasises the importance of intentional friendships based on personal growth, saying, ‘It’s hard as an adult to make intentional friendships based on who you’ve now become.’
MySoulSistas fills that void by offering opportunities for women to forge deep connections beyond work or university, fostering an environment where everyone feels welcome and valued.
As the community grew rapidly, Stacey realised the need for a dedicated platform to manage events and facilitate discussions.
The MySoulSistas app was born, providing members with a digital home that fosters engagement, planning and a sense of belonging.
‘Whenever you want to tap into SoulSistas life, you can open the app, and then you’re in that environment.’

MySoulSistas offers a diverse range of activities, from nature walks and ocean swims to hiking trips and planned road adventures.
Stacey believes in the power of shared experiences, explaining, ‘People can tick off connection, nature, and activity all in one go.’
By embracing the beauty of Cape Town and indulging in soul-fulfilling ‘me’ time, women are empowered to reclaim their lives and thrive with the support of like-minded individuals.
While MySoulSistas has already made a profound impact on the women of Cape Town, Stacey’s vision extends beyond the city’s borders.
She envisions expanding to Johannesburg and Durban, spreading the magic of MySoulSistas and creating meaningful connections throughout South Africa.
Stacey’s incredible journey from burnout to empowerment serves as a testament to the transformative power of connection and shared experiences.
MySoulSistas stands as a beacon of hope and friendship, offering women a safe, kind space to tap into their passions, explore nature and nurture authentic connections.
