A runway with pink lights, models with fantastic headpieces, massive hairdos, beautiful locally-designed clothing and Beyoncé-themed entertainment – the Spoilt Hair Show, held at Beefcakes in Greenpoint last week, was over the top but in the best possible way.
The show was put together by Shoneez Warrington, owner of Spoilt Hair and Nails. Shoneez started the business in December 2005 and has maintained a high and professional reputation since then.
Eccentric hairdos that looked as if they took hours to style were styled by the Spoilt Hair and Nails salon team in Greenpoint. The girls had a bigger variety of different hairstyles, everything from multiple bubble ponytails to horse-shoe shaped up-styles. The boys had long ponytails, straightened side fringes and shaved sides. Hairstyling was done by Shoneez Warrington (owner), Theo, Barbera, Zainab and Gilbert.
On arrival to the pink and black venue with disco balls and flamingos bobbing from the ceiling, guests received pink welcome cocktails by Beefcakes’ hunks kitted in muscle tops. And that was just the beginning…
The show itself was like a mini fashion week experience, hosted by Smile 90.4 FM’s Lindy Hibbard. The Spoilt Hair & Nails team – owner Shoneez Warrington and stylists Theo, Barbera, Zainab and Gilbert – brought their A-game and models paraded down the runway with eccentric styles varying from bubble and horse-shoe ponies to sideswept bangs and shaved sides, dressed by SA men’s Week regular Ruald Rheeder and Inner Secrets. To accompany the avant-garde clothing and hair, Gorgeous2Go ensured the beauty looks were dark and broody.
At the end of the evening, guests were treated to goodies bags brimming with Kevin Murphy hair products and treatment vouchers. A ‘spoilt’ evening indeed!
