The Western Cape Government’s Standing Committee on Agriculture, Environmental Affairs and Development Planning has invited stakeholders, interested individuals and organisations to have their say on the Climate Change Bill [B 9B–2022] (NCOP).
This legislative effort seeks to establish a comprehensive framework for South Africa to address climate change.
The Western Cape Government hopes to transition towards a low-carbon, climate-resilient economy and society within the principles of sustainable development.

Contributions can be made through written submissions via email to [email protected] or by sending voicenotes on WhatsApp to 082 877 7477.
There is also an opportunity to request a session to present oral submissions directly to the Standing Committee.

The deadline for all submissions and requests to be presented is Monday, 5 February 2024.
