All visitor facilities (entrance gates, restaurants, shops and venues) are accessible for wheelchairs but Kirstenbosch is set on a steep gradient and not all areas of the Garden are accessible to wheelchairs. - Cost: South African residents aged 18 and older (with ID) pay R110. Adult visitors from outside Africa and SADC pay R270, and African nationals pay R150. South African students (with student card) pay R60, children aged 6 to 17 pay R40, and children under six are free. South African residents over 60 (with ID) enter free on Tuesdays, excluding public holidays. Tickets are sold online via Webtickets, and cash is no longer accepted.

Table Mountain is a must for anyone looking to truly experience Cape Town. This iconic landmark grabbed the title of Africa’s leading tourist attraction 4 times in a row courtesy of World Travel Awards (WTA) Accessibility for wheelchair-bound visitors is top of mind at the Cableway with the easy-to-use wheelchair route map, ramps and elevators at the Lower Cable Station and paved pathways at the summit of Table Mountain.
- Cost: Online return tickets are R475 for adults and R230 for children aged 4–17. Online one-way tickets are R300 for adults and R165 for children. Tickets bought at the ticket office cost more, at R530 (adult return) and R270 (child return). South African senior citizens pay R130 for a return ticket with a valid SA ID. Children under four travel free. These rates apply from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027.
