The first of three events will pay homage to Bastille Day and French heritage with a showcase of Premier Cru wines; the second will explore Italy’s most renowned wine regions; and the final act will reveal the hidden nuances of Beaujolais’ and Burgundy’s timeless elegance.

13 July: Bastille Day
On Thursday, 13 July, Francophiles can participate in the spirit of Bastille Day as Culture Wine Bar raises its glasses to French heritage and the art of winemaking with Premier Cru Wines.
This Culture Club event promises to be a memorable evening of exploration and celebration of Bastille Day, regardless of whether you are an experienced wine connoisseur or simply enjoy the pleasures of good vino.
Subject to change depending on availability, the Bastille Day line-up includes Baron Albert L’éclatante Champagne, Mirabeau Classic, Domaine Du Margalleau Vouvray, Domaine Long Depaquit Albert Bichot Chablis, Domaine De Cristia Grenache, Domaine Saint-Cyr La Galoche Beaujolais, Gabriel Meffre Chateauneuf Du Pape Saint Theodoric and Château Des Demoiselles.

27 July: Piedmont, Tuscany & Sicily
On Thursday, 27 July, Culture Wine Bar will host an enthralling voyage through Italy’s most renowned wine regions, right in the heart of Cape Town. Guests will explore the flavours of Piedmont, Tuscany and Sicily at this event, guided by David Clarke of Ex Animo Wine Co.
The Piedmont tasting will feature Giovanni Rosso Langhe Nebbiolo, Ca’Viola Dolcetto d’Alba, and Vietti Barbera d’Alba Tre Vigne; the Tuscan tasting includes Barone Ricasoli Brolio Chianti Classico, Banfi Rosso di Montalcino, and Badia a Coltibuono Sangioveto IGT; and the Sicily tasting will feature Baglio di Grisi Nero d’Avola, Pietradolce Etna Bianco, and Pietradolce Etna Rosso.

31 August: Beaujolais & Burgundy
The third event in Culture Wine Bar’s trilogy will be held on Thursday, 31 August, where guests are invited to embark on an extraordinary tasting experience with the renowned sommelier, Keizer.
Following his recent journey to France, Keizer will guide attendees through the regions of Beaujolais and Burgundy, sharing his expertise, knowledge and deep passion for their exceptional wines.
Subject to change depending on availability, the line-up includes a Château de La Chaize Côte de Brouilly Lieu-dit ‘Brulhié’ 2019, a Domaine Des Marrans Fleurie Les Marrans 2021, a Domaine De La Grosse Pierre Aux Craz 2021, a Domaine Dubreuil-Fontaine Bourgogne Les Crenilles 2021 and many more velvety reds.
