This renowned performing arts venue has been entertaining audiences with its diverse and dynamic programming for over four decades and continues to captivate audiences with its new production called “Strike a Match”, which promises to be both thought-provoking and entertaining.

“Strike a Match” delves deep into the personal and cultural identity of renowned dancer Celeste Botha in a biographical exploration that goes beyond the typical contemporary aesthetic.
The production features a talented cast and crew who bring to life a story that explores the complexities of human relationships, the power of forgiveness, and the search for personal redemption.
This edgy and visceral performance showcases Botha’s experiences as a South African woman and empowers other women like her, who come from urban areas.
Director Mdu Kweyama has challenged Botha to tell her story through both dance and acting, resulting in a more personal and authentic performance.
