The Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts’ March lineup is brimming with musical acts to complement the last stretch of Cape Town’s summer season.

3 March: Ronan Keating
Ronan Keating is an Irish singer and songwriter who rose to prominence as the leader of the boy band Boyzone before embarking on a successful solo career.
The proceeds from Keating’s performance at Kirstenbosch Gardens will go to Citadel, which has a long-standing relationship with Ronan and brings him to the country every year to raise funds for local charities alongside golf legend Gary Player.
Citadel, Keating, and Player have so far raised R5 million for vulnerable South African children.

5 March: Mandisi Dyantyis
Mandisi Dyantyis is a versatile musician who works as a singer, composer, arranger and producer in jazz, western classical and African indigenous music. Over the years, he has collaborated with some of the country’s top musicians.
Born and raised in Port Elizabeth, Mandisi began playing the trumpet at the age of eight. He studied classical music throughout his school years and graduated from the University of Cape Town in 2005 with a BMus Honors Degree in Jazz Studies, where he spent the majority of his time playing in the UCT Big Band.

10 March: Rainbow Kitten Surprise
Rainbow Kitten Surprise, from the Blue Ridge Mountain college town of Boone, North Carolina, play a fiery mix of bright indie pop and earnest, harmony-driven folk-rock. Their combination of tight instrumental chops and jam band savvy helped them gain a strong grassroots following.
The band formed in North Carolina, with lead vocalists Ela Melo, Darrick “Bozzy” Keller, Ethan Goodpaster, Jess Haney and Charlie Holt.
RKS is well-known for its harmonies, instrumentation and lyrics.

12 March: Spoegwolf & Lisie Basson
Spoegwolf (which translates to Spitwolf) is an award-winning Afrikaans group based in Paarl, South Africa, which emerged in the early 2010s with a melody-driven blend of driving alternative rock and thoughtful folk-pop. It became the first Afrikaans band to top the digital streaming music charts in 2019 thanks to its critically acclaimed trauma-themed concept album “Koma”.
Spoegwolf was formed in 2012 by Moskou du Toit (drums, percussion, and vocals), Chris von Wielligh (guitar and piano), Albert van der Merwe (bass and vocals), and Danie du Toit (vocals and guitar).
Since the release of the first album, “Swaartekrag”, in 2012, which included two of its biggest hits, “Lenie Blou” and “Somerset-Wes,” the band has put out a number of well-received albums, such as “Somer” (2014), “Die Donker Toring” (2017), “Koma” (2019), and “See” (2020), which was performed on tour in Europe.
Lisie Basson
Lisie Basson signed with Coleske Artist Management shortly after finishing in the top four on The Contract Season 2.
Lisie was raised in Pretoria, and when she thinks back to her childhood, she recalls playing card games with her mother while her father played Wonderwall on the guitar for them next to a warm fire.

19 March: Matthew Mole
Matthew Mole is a Cape Town-based singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, whose blend of rousing indie folk and light electronica topped the country’s iTunes charts with two consecutive albums in the mid-2010s. By the end of the decade, he had established himself as a festival mainstay, with numerous South African Music Award nominations to his name.
