Matthew Mole, the acclaimed singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, is set to take the stage once again at Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden on Sunday, 19 March 2023, as part of the Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts presented in collaboration with the City of Cape Town.

Known for his unique blend of indie folk and light electronica, Matthew Mole is sure to deliver a captivating and unforgettable performance against the picturesque backdrop of Table Mountain.

In 2013, Matthew Mole made history as the first local artist to top the South African iTunes charts with his debut album, “The Home We Built”. He went on to achieve the same feat with his second album, “Run”, in 2016. In 2019, Matthew Mole released his album “Ghost”, and in 2020, he dropped a series of singles, including the award-winning track “Keep it Together,” which earned him the coveted “Record of the Year” award at the 2021 South African Music Awards.
Alderman JP Smith, the mayoral committee member for safety and security, expressed the City of Cape Town’s pride in collaborating with the Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts.
“The City of Cape Town is proud to partner with the Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts to showcase one of South Africa’s most legendary artists. We are incredibly excited to see Matthew Mole at Kirstenbosch, mesmerising the crowd at such an incredible setting,” said Alderman JP Smit.
