For the first time in 8 years, Contiki has added a new region to their list of tours following popular passenger requests – a brand-new list of trips will now venture to various destinations in Africa.

The call for wild adventures in eastern and Sub-Saharan Africa has been overwhelming, and today the trusted travel brand has announced several new trips to this very region.

The landscapes, the wildlife, the adventure… we’re going to Africa!

This new addition is the first new region added since their launch of Latin America in 2010, and represents a fast growing trend of millennial travelers seeking raw and unfiltered adventure.

The four new trips added to the directory will allow young adventurers between the ages of 18 and 35 to explore South Africa (including Cape Town), Tanzania, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Kenya.

Five extension trips are also available, offering globetrotters the chance to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, relax on the beaches of Zanzibar or get close to gorillas in Uganda.

No experience will go untapped along the journey. Contiki will showcase everything the region has to offer from the big five in Kruger National Park, migration of wildebeest in the Serengeti, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, Victoria Falls, to visiting a baby elephant sanctuary and feeding giraffes.
Those who don’t want to spend their free time relaxing, can instead spot tree-climbing lions from a sunrise hot air balloon over the Serengeti, bungee jump over the Victoria Falls, white water raft down the Zambezi River, go hippo spotting on the Chobe River or enjoy a memorable wine tasting in the Cape Winelands are all included in the Contiki tour offering.
A huge focus point of the new trips added to the Contiki map is accommodation. Contiki has hand selected renowned properties like,  Sentrim Hotels & Lodges, that offer the comforts of home far away from home.
Rest assured no matter where travelers stay there will be comfortable beds, en-suites, patios and swimming pools to come home to after a day filled with adventure.
Exclusive trips of up to 20 passengers means opting for comfortable seven-seater pop-top safari vehicles across Eastern Africa and luxury buses in Southern Africa.
Flights from Cape Town to Johannesburg and Johannesburg to Victoria Falls allows clients to spend more time on the ground and more deeply enjoy the offerings of each destination.
