Footage of Clive, a Secret Love Project sticker seller, recently went viral on TikTok after a passing motorist filmed him gently feeding an Egyptian goose on a pavement in Cape Town. This tender act of empathy from someone who has little of his own has touched the hearts of everyone who has watched the clip.
The Secret Love Project is a non-profit organisation that creates and distributes heart-shaped sticker packs to homeless people for them to sell. One of its members talked to Clive to find out more about his compassionate daily ritual.

Speaking to The Secret Love Project, Clive explained:
‘Two weeks ago, my little boy was here with me; he stays in Manenberg with my grandmother, so we saw the ducks, and he told me, “Dad, I want to feed the ducks,” so we fed the ducks.’
Whenever Clive arrived home from work, his son would inquire if he had fed the ducks and encourage him to do so if he hadn’t.
It is now part of Clive’s daily routine to purchase a loaf of bread, feed the ducks three times a day and give them water.
