The renowned Triggerfish Animation Studios has made the decision to open its first international studio in Galway, Ireland. Triggerfish is one of Africa’s largest and most awarded animation studios, and has produced works that were nominated for international awards such as the Emmys, BAFTAs and Oscars.

Currently, its only studio is in Cape Town, and is located on a quiet farm road. Opening a studio in Ireland will produce approximately 60 jobs, and Galway was selected because of how the animators there produce high-quality work and show strong dedication to the craft.

The studio has produced some of South Africa’s highest-grossing animated films, including Khumba and Adventures In Zambezia.

Animators who would like to join the new team are encouraged to apply via the ‘careers’ tab at .
