The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and we are living in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Cape Town. There’s no question that the Mother City is a photographer’s dream, providing some incredible spots for your eyes to feast on and your Instagram followers to gawk at.
Here are five beautiful spots around Cape Town that you have to visit:
Diaz Beach, Cape Point
While Diaz Beach provides incredible and unique views, you’ll have to travel for them. The beach is located at Cape Point and is pretty secluded, ensuring gorgeous shots of the turquoise waters.

Sunset Rock, Fresnaye
While it may be a not-so-secret sunset spot right now, Sunset Rock provides incredible views across Camps Bay and Clifton. You can take it easy and head there via Ocean View Drive, Fresnaye, or grab your hiking boots and trek here using the alternative Lion’s Head hiking trail (around the mountain).

Bakoven
There’s no better place to grab a tan and enjoy the summer vibes than at Bakoven. This is also an incredible spot to catch the sunset and take a dip in the icy waters, but don’t forget to take a few snaps!

Slangkop Lighthouse, Kommetjie
Located in Kommetjie, the Slangkop Lighthouse is an iconic fixture in the seaside town. It also provides a beautiful contrast between the stormy blue waters of the Cape’s oceans, ensuring some epic shots.

Lion’s Head and Wally’s Cave
Hiking Lion’s Head is a rite of passage in Cape Town. It also provides some of the best views within the Mother City and should top any scenery lover’s bucket list. Wally’s Cave is also worth the detour as it provides an awesome viewpoint of Table Mountain.
