On Sunday, 10 March, the Cape 1000 is set to kick off at the V&A Waterfront’s Quay 6, in front of the Table Bay Hotel.
The Cape 1000 is ‘a grand touring rally’ in which classic, vintage and exotic cars tour the Western Cape to pay homage to a bygone era.

Consisting of 60 cars that will travel 1 000 miles, the duration of the event will be 4 days and 5 nights, with limited mechanical support and regularity stages.
Participants will have time to register on Sunday, 10 march 2024, with the rally officially departing from the V&A on Monday, 11 March.
The race will take drivers from Cape Town to George, George to Hermanus and Hermanus back to Cape Town over four days.
All rare, collectable and exotic cars are welcome to apply to enter.
The event is free for the public to attend.
Programme of events
Day one:
Participants will have the chance to register for the rally on Sunday, 10 March 2024.

- Location: Quay 6, V&A Waterfront in front of Table Bay Hotel
Day two:
The rally departs from the V&A Waterfront, travels to Bainskloof Pass, stops for lunch at the Drostdy Museum, Swellendam, and ends the day at the Fancourt Hotel.

- Time: 8:30am to 9:30am (start), 3pm to 3:45pm (arrive at gates to outside of Fancourt Hotel)
- Location: V&A Waterfront; arrive at the gates outside of Fancourt Hotel
Day three:
Leaving from the Fancourt Hotel, the next destinations include Outeniqua Pass, Meiringspoort Pass, Eden Technical High School, until finally arriving back at the Fancourt Hotel.

Day four:
Leaving from the Fancourt Hotel, participants can stop for lunch at Barrydale before continuing on to Tradouw Pass prior to arriving at Gearing’s Point, Hermanus.

Day five:
The final day of the rally will start with participants departing from Gearing’s point, Hermanus, and travelling through the R44 Clarence Drive, Fish Hoek, Chapman’s Peak, and concluding the rally at the V&A Waterfront.
