In an age where digital devices dominate the living room, a simple board game can bring people together, nurturing personal connections and evoking a good dose of friendly competitive spirit.
Learning about the rich and vibrant culture and heritage of the 54 nations that make up the African continent adds a wonderful dimension to the fun – and helps to keep devices stashed away for longer too.
Created by the company’s founder, Geoffroy Fierens, the game is designed to teach everyone more about Africa’s diversity, history, natural beauty and the contribution it makes in spheres such as science, art and sport.
As a Belgian abroad on visits to Africa, Fierans was struck by how little he and his compatriots knew about the continent. Moved by his newfound passion for the various corners of Africa he visited, the idea for ‘Africa Tour’ was born and the fast playing, fast learning game was created soon after.
Through five categories including History, Geography, Nature, Arts and Sports, players ‘tour’ Africa and broaden their general knowledge on African icons, historical places, natural phenomena and more.
From Cape Town to Cairo, it’s an idyllic slice of educational entertainment suited to all members of the family that will have you falling in love with the wide range of wonders right here in our homeland.
‘Africa Tour’ is available countrywide at CNA stores and online on spoetnik.co.za.
