Cape Town – home of Table Mountain, glistening sandy beaches, mesmerising blue waters that are way too cold to swim in, and endless creative inspiration.
If I were to compare Johannesburg and Cape Town (please don’t come for me internet), I’ve always pictured the City of Gold as this bustling metropolis infused with African ingenuity, but Cape Town has always felt like this incredibly creative city where artists go to feel inspired, writes Cape {town} Etc’s Lynn Cupido.
There’s no question that inspiration can be found around every corner and atop every mountain in the Mother City. Let’s not forget that Cape Town was the first African city to be named a UNESCO City of Design, an honour that recognises a city’s design status and commitment to promoting and developing the cultural and creative industries.
