Local favourite Oranjezicht Market is well-known for its weekend trading, offering residents the chance to shop organic goods and a variety of unique products, but for the month of November, Capetonians will be able to shop during the week too.

To assist with all your festive shopping, Oranjezicht has added a Wednesday evening market to their offering, running from 4pm to 8pm in November.

This is an opportunity locals have been waiting for and the perfect chance to hit the trendy market after work.

Their crêpes are authentically French and you have to get yours with a generous smear of Nutella. You won’t regret it!

5. Funki Fungi

If you’re a mushroom-lover, vegetarian or vegan, you can’t visit Oranjezicht without stopping at Funki Fungi.

Their mushrooms are super fresh and their braaied sosaties are delightful. They also sell mushroom biltong and spices that are exceptional.
