The Capital 15 on Orange Hotel’s Emerald Lounge Restaurant and Bar provides a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere and a global menu that caters to all tastes and preferences.
The hotel is located in the centre of town and a stone’s throw away from the Company’s Garden, and the restaurant is framed by Table Mountain and Lion’s Head.
The building’s distinctive design blends natural beauty and urban sophistication.

While Cape Town is renowned for its stunning outdoor dining spots, the Emerald Lounge Restaurant and Bar’s expansive glass windows offer panoramic mountain views.
This feature ensures that hotel guests who choose to dine indoors can still experience the classic vistas that Cape Town is famous for.
A dining experience at the restaurant is significantly enhanced when paired with a restorative spa treatment at the hotel’s Grotto Wellness Spa, and I would personally recommend its signature Obsidian Renewal Ritual.
The spa is situated on the lowest floor of The Capital 15 on Orange and offers a perfect prelude to a leisurely lunch.

Post-treatment, I could appreciate the menu’s offerings with a heightened sense of relaxation and mindfulness. After deliberating over the selections, I opted for a spicy tomato cocktail and a prawn and tomato tagliatelle.
The fresh prawns and the balanced dish tasted even more delicious when eaten with the sound of hotel guests seated just a table away, effusively praising Cape Town’s beauty.
The Emerald Lounge has designed an all-day menu that accommodates any schedule. From early risers to night owls, the availability of 24-hour in-room dining ensures that no one misses out on the culinary delights the Emerald Lounge has to offer.
Breakfast is served from 6am to 10am, lunch runs from 12pm to 3pm, and dinner is available from 6:30pm to 11pm.
The lounge’s O Bar is the ideal place to enjoy a cocktail before settling down for a meal or to gather before planned festivities – even if they’re just to celebrate being in Cape.
Beyond its dining and spa amenities, The Capital 15 on Orange further impresses with a pool deck that offers views of Table Mountain and Signal Hill. It also boasts state-of-the-art conference venues and a fully-equipped gym, catering to both leisure and business guests.
Stepping outside the hotel, you’ll find Kloof Street, a lively thoroughfare lined with cafes, restaurants and cocktail bars. The Planetarium, located adjacent to Kloof Street, offers a journey through the stars, and the V&A Waterfront, just a short drive from the hotel, offers a variety of shopping, dining and entertainment opportunities.
While The Capital 15 on Orange has everything one might need at its doorstep, it provides it without guests needing to step outside its lobby.
